December meeting and demo: Hollowing from the bottom

7 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021

Have you ever seen a hollow form with a tiny opening and wondered how they did it? They might have “cheated” and hollowed it through the bottom. Paul Hedman will be demonstrating this technique of making “impossible” hollow forms.
Don’t forget to bring something for Show and Tell! We’d love to see what you’ve been working on!
Coming up: Winter Extravaganza 2022
Mark your calendars for the Minn-Dak Woodturners Winter Extravaganza, Saturday, January 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Jim McTavish is organizing the volunteers, so if you would like to demo, greet visitors, answer questions, or help set up or clean up afterwards, click here to drop Jim an email.
Our meeting will be at “In the Chips” located at 303 21st Street North in Moorhead, just north of Burger King and the Coca-Cola Plant. Plenty of parking on the North side and on the street. As in the past, we’ll start gathering at about 6:30 p.m. to socialize, and the formal meeting begins at 7.
IMPORTANT: We ask that unvaccinated attendees wear a mask or face shield (unless you have a medical exemption). Also, In the Chips are not currently providing coffee and treats; however, you are welcome to bring your own.
