7 p.m., Thursday, February 9
Getting started with woodturning doesn’t have to be intimidating if you learn some basic principles. Come on out this Thursday to learn how to mount a piece of wood between centers, how to make those first cuts, and how to make the two basic shapes that make up virtually every element of woodturning: beads and coves. From there we’ll look at some of the simple projects that you can get started with. Bring a friend, and bring something for Show and Tell! We’d love to see what you’ve been working on!
Our meeting will be at “In the Chips” located at 303 21st Street North in Moorhead, just north of Burger King and the Coca-Cola Plant. Plenty of parking on the North side and on the street. As in the past, we’ll start gathering at about 6:30 p.m. to socialize, and the formal meeting begins at 7 p.m.
